For a while ( do a search on X lines or similar to see posts that go back to 2008 ) we have been working on X line data in our Exploris.
Here is an interesting problem - thank we have the answer ... in Excel - make sure your prices are always set to TWO DECIMAL PLACES .... the DFIU seems to count digits and ignores any decimal point .... here are example .....

The above image shows the part with cost filed as 3.9 ... would have thought that was OK ... but WRONG -- see how the price comes into the system as .39 cents .....
Short answer ( after an hours of calling and looking ) ...make sure your price fields are TWO DECIMAL PLACES

Price Fields
• Pricing columns are easiest to handle when the format of the column is specified as a ‘Number’, not as ‘Currency’ with 2 decimal places. Set this using the Format, Cells command in Excel.Price field.
• Ensure the Use 1000 Separator (,) check box is not checked. When checked, improper parsing results (same problem as a comma in the description).
Just before uploading a file to Excel, I always have to highlight all columns with pricing in and use ctrl+1 to open the cell format and change set the format to numbers 2 decimal places. I then save the file and close it, then upload it to DFIU. I never have a problem with pricing if I always reset the number format to 2 decimals as the last thing I do before saving and closing.
